Dear Member,
We write to you with regards to the 2014 agreement (see below) in relation to banded hours, and that employees working over 16 consecutive weeks, can now request to be moved to the next highest band and be issued with a contract to this effect.
Therefore, if you fall into this category you can now request a change to your banded hours from the end of January.
Should you have any queries in relation to this matter please do not hesitate to contact the undersigned. As always we ask you to encourage your colleagues to join your union Mandate, We are stronger together.

RE: UPDATED AGREEMENT ON BANDED HOURS SUPERVALU KILLESTER & RAHENY
Dear David,
Further to the recent review of the current agreement between Mandate/Kane & McCartney Supervalu to ensure that any staff who work hours are issued with a band that accurately reflects their working hours the following is agreed,
Employees working over 16 consecutive weeks; will move up the next highest band and be issued with a contract to this effect.
This will be reviewed by the Company twice a year, at the end of January and the end of August. The bands are 10-17, 18-28, and 29-39.
The purpose of this mechanism is to ensure that staff have a contract of employment that accurately and fairly reflects their working hours, it is agreed that anyone with issues arising or believes that there is an unfair application of this clause this will be advanced through the grievance procedure.
Both parties commit to having a detailed review of the current agreement in September 2014.
Yours sincerely,
Caroline McEnery
(On behalf of Kane McCartney Group)
