Following recent media reports regarding the possible sale of the Brown Thomas Arnotts business we have written to the company seeking a meeting (please see below).

Dear Ms Sharp
I write to you regarding some concerning media reports which were circulating in yesterday evening’s Irish Times and today’s Business Post. These media reports seem to suggest that the parent company is considering an offer to sell the Brown Thomas/Arnotts Business.
As I am sure you will be aware, these reports are both worrying and distressing for our members, particularly in circumstances whereby there has been no statement from the business, confirming the veracity or otherwise of these media reports.
In view of the foregoing, I now seek a meeting (virtually) with the company to discuss any implications for our members.
Yours sincerely
For Mandate Trade Union
