Pursuant the the State Enterprises Act 1977, as ammended, the Company have identified Wednesday 17th November 2021 as the day on which nominations of candidates will be accepted for the Election of Worker Director.
What is the Role of a Director?
The daa Board is responsible for creating the organisation’s culture and directing the Group’s activities. The Board’s role is to provide leadership and direction for the Group within a framework of prudent and effective controls which enables risk to be addressed and managed. Worker directors are an integral part of the daa Board and having them on the Board is designed to give employees a role in the oversight of the business and in setting the group’s strategic direction. Members of Mandate who are employed by any of the following daa, dasl, ASCl, ARI cpt and daaI have at least three years continuous service in any of the Companies prior to the 29th September 2021 and not be less than 18 years of age, or more than 65 years of age on the 28th September 2021 are eligible to be a candidate.
Nomination Process
A person wishing to become a candidate must be nominated on the official Mandate Nomination Form which is available from Mandate by emailing rosullivan@mandate.ie Please note that last date for requesting the nomination form is 16:00 on October 8th and the closing date for completion of the form is Thursday 21st October 2021 at 16:00.
If more than one nomination is received, a Primary Ballot of Mandate Members will be required, to determine the single candidate to contest the Dublin Airport Authority Worker Director Election proper.
