Re: Covid-19 Temporary Working Arrangements

Dear Ms. Burnell

A number of concerns have been raised with the undersigned regarding the aforementioned. As I understand it the company introduced shift work to mitigate against Covid-19 related risks in the workplace. While this was clearly done in the best interests of health, safety and welfare the expectation is that our members will return to their contractually agreed terms of employment at the earliest opportunity. It must be noted that they have been very flexible regarding same and given the government’s impending plans to loosen restrictions it would seem a return to these core terms should happen as a matter of urgency.

While conscious of the company’s obligations regarding health, safety and welfare it must be noted the massive efforts made by Mandate members in Joseph Murphy’s to continue trading during the height of numerous lockdowns and Covid-19 waves.

I look forward to your response.

Yours sincerely

Eoin Griffin
