Dear Mr. O’Donnell

I am in receipt of your letter of the 13th January ’22.

Firstly I want to set out that the health and safety of all colleagues is. at all times, of utmost importance to Tesco Ireland and is our number one priority.

It is therefore regrettable you are calling into question the Company’s commitment to its colleagues without having the full facts of what occurred.

Unfortunately an incident occurred in our store on 7th January which was outside of our control.

The Company treats such incidents seriously and will take any necessary steps to prevent such occurrences happening in the future and will continue to put the safety of our colleagues first.

All concerns that have been raised to the management team in relation to this incident have been addressed accordingly and we will continue to communicate with our colleagues in this regard.

Yours sincerely.

Mr David McCarthy
Store Manager
