Re: Holiday Pay, House Committee Members and Store Health & Safety Concerns
Dear Members,
I hope this update finds you well. I would like to take this opportunity to update you with regard to a number of issues concerning your store. Please see below:
Holiday Pay
As you are aware Mandate wrote on your behalf to Mr. Paul Duff, Store Manager by way of correspondence dated 14th August 2023 and received a response to same by way of correspondence dated 22nd August 2023 assuring the undersigned that a full review and audit of the issue was being conducted by the Company. To date Mandate have received no further response from the Company therefore the undersigned has sent another letter on your behalf seeking an update from the Company. A copy of the correspondence is available by CLICKING HERE: Mandate will obviously keep you updated of any response.
House Committee Members
Further to the recent advertisement for vacant positions on the Mandate House Committee for the Drogheda Store, I am delighted to announce that the following members have been nominated to sit on the Committee:
- Ms. Susan Lynch
- Ms. Phillipa White
Given the fact that only two members were nominated it will not be necessary to carry out an election and I deem both members elected as House Committee Members. I would like to thank both Phillipa and Susan for their willingness to take up the role and I look forward to working closely with them going forward. The appropriate training will now be provided to both Susan and Phillipa to assist them in their new roles.
Store Health & Safety Concerns
Mandate were made aware of a further incident of severe leaking and flooding in the Drogheda Store on Saturday 26th August 2023. Please be assured that on the day in question the undersigned raised your serious concerns with Mr. Paul Duff, Store Manager. Your local representatives have been given assurances that the appropriate level of action has been taken by Local Management and it is sincerely believed that the issue has been resolved.
Yours fraternally
Keith Pollard,
Divisional Organiser.
