Update on Union/Company Talks

Dear Members,
As you are aware negotiations reconvened today Wednesday 18th October between your Mandate Union representatives and Marks and Spencer management.
Discussions took place in relation to both redeployment and voluntary redundancy options, as well as the impact the proposed restructure has on our members impacted by the changes sought by the Company. While some progress was made regarding re-deployment options, unfortunately no agreement could be reached between the parties on redundancy terms and therefore no agreement could be ultimately reached on a final set of proposals at this juncture.
As soon as there are further developments in relation to this matter, we will keep you appraised of same.
