Dear Member,

As a result of your Pay and Benefits Agreement with Penneys coming to an end in October 2022, your Union is now planning for the next phase of pay talks with your employer regarding your pay and benefits. There is no doubt that the past number of years has created uncertainty for our members within the retail sector with many outlets closing. However, Penneys has traded successfully throughout this period and is continuing to invest in its bricks and mortar business, which is welcomed in terms of job creation.   

Given this success, Mandate’s role will be to ensure that this investment continues through to the workers who give Penneys the unique trading qualities that have generated the growth for the business over the past few years. To help us identify the priorities for these negotiations, we are launching our 2022 Pay and Benefits Survey, which will be live for two weeks. We would encourage all our members to avail of the opportunity to participate.

The Survey will assist your negotiating team reps in formulating a claim based upon your key priorities identified from the survey, which will be served on the Company this coming October.
