Penneys Pay and Benefits Update

Dear Member,

Further to a national Shop Stewards meeting on Monday 17 October 2022, which was convened to discuss our 2022 Pay and Benefits Claim, please be advised that the Mandate Negotiating Team, which is made up of both Union Officials and Shop Stewards, met with Penneys senior management representatives on the Thursday 20 October to discuss our claim.

In addition to pay, the Union tabled several other concerns, such as current staff being able to access available hours, access to full-time job opportunities within the business, work life balance needs, productivity levels increasing due to staff shortages, as well as other developments in relation to changes to the staff discount and low staff morale across the business.

Both parties have agreed to meet again in the coming weeks and a date has yet to be agreed.

We will keep you informed of any further developments in relation to these matters.
