Re: Stores of Concern
Dear Mr. Pollard,
I am writing to you to update you on the progress of the Store of Concern Programme. The Company has completed the first round offers for Sales Assistants and several other grades across the 7 Stores of Concern. Exit dates have been confirmed for 50 colleagues to leave the business in the coming weeks.
Within the first round of offers, we had a significant number applicants who withdrew from the process which has negatively impacted the projected savings from this programme. In addition, since Level 5 restrictions have been put in place at the end of December 2020, our stores and colleagues have been committed to focusing on the operational challenges that have been brought with this whilst continuing to support their local communities and therefore we would not want to put these stores at risk during this time.
I understand that this is not ideal and the Company is committed to keeping the remaining colleagues informed on the status of their application in a timely manner and will update you accordingly when we have completed a further review with our next steps.
Should you require any further information in relation to this matter, please do not hesitate to contact me.
