Tesco Labour Court Hearing Tomorrow

Date: 16th May 2022

To: All Mandate Members in Tesco

Re: Labour Court Hearing 17th May 2022

Dear Member

Your pay and benefits claim will be heard before the Labour Court tomorrow, the 17th of May at 10am. The Court will hear from both sides and issue a recommendation that you will be the ultimate decision makers about. The most important thing about being a union member is the right to exercise your vote regarding your terms and conditions of employment. In short, to have a voice at work.

As per our most recent update a lot of preparation has been put in by your elected national negotiating committee, all of whom will be in attendance at the Court tomorrow. Mandate members made their position regarding consolidated pay very clear when they overwhelmingly rejected the WRC brokered proposals in December 2021.

The following represents the Mandate claim, as shaped by members through surveys and local engagement.

General Assistant
Night Workers
Grocery Home Shopping Drivers Claim
Clarifications

Please continue to encourage your colleagues to join Mandate, so that they can have their voice heard on any recommendation issued by the Labour Court.

Yours fraternally

Tesco National Negotiating Team
