Further to the High Court appointment of provisional liquidators Ken Fennell and James Anderson of Deloitte on the 30th November 2020, I wish to confirm to you that Mandate Trade Union has spoken to Mr. Ken Fennell from Deloitte this morning.
Notwithstanding the uncertainty that these developments have caused for our members and their families and the nature of how our members and your Union received this information through media speculation and further reports, all of which are unacceptable, please be advised that Mr. Ken Fennell from Deloitte has contacted Mandate this morning and committed to consulting and informing your Mandate representatives as matters develop. I have been informed that a number of Deloitte representatives will commence visits to the various Arcadia locations today advising staff of these developments. Mandate will keep you informed of any further developments. Please feel free to raise any concerns with your local Mandate Union office.
In addition to the above please see below correspondence to Mr. Paul Forest (HR) seeking further clarifications sought by Mandate.

Dear Mr Forrest
Further to media reports confirming that provisional liquidators have been appointed to the Irish Arcadia business, it has now been confirmed that there are now no longer 800 to 900 workers, but in fact 487 employees in 14 stores within the Arcadia group operating in Ireland. Given these developments, could you please confirm that this number of stores includes concession outlets and also can you confirm the exact number of staff within the various Irish locations, given the discrepancies in the company’s original figure of almost 800 to 900 staff.
On behalf of the workers concerned, we expect that every effort will be made to secure and safeguard the future employment of our members. As a matter of urgency and courtesy, I would appreciate the clarifications as requested above.
