Employment Rights Explained – Free online information session
Dear Colleague,
South Connacht Citizens Information Service is delivering a series of free online information session on employment rights in May 2022, aimed at employees. The sessions will be delivered by Dr. Lucy Ann Buckley, Associate Professor with NUI Galway School of Law.
Each session will last approximately an hour and a half, will cover the following topics:
· Employment Rights and Conditions – Wednesday 11th May at 7pm – covering topics such as contracts of employment, part time workers’ rights, sick pay, the right to work from home/remotely, payment of wages and minimum wage, leave entitlements and rest periods.
· Equality in the Workplace, Disputes and Complaints – Wednesday 18th May at 7pm – covering topics such as maternity leave, adoptive, carers leave etc; bullying and harassment, termination of employment, redundancy, and unfair dismissal; grievance and disciplinary procedures, the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court.
